Objective: score more points than your opponent by capturing cards from the table. Played with a 40-card Neapolitan deck.

Deal: at the start, 3 face-down cards go to each player and 4 face-up cards to the centre of the table. When both players run out, 3 more cards are dealt to each until the deck is exhausted.

Turn: the active player plays one card. If its value matches a table card, or the sum of several, they capture them. Playing an Ace, however, always sweeps every card on the table. Clearing the table with a normal capture scores a "scopa" (bonus point); an Ace-sweep does NOT count as a scopa.

End of hand: once the deck is exhausted, the last player to capture takes any cards left on the table.

Scoring: 1 point for most cards captured; 1 for most Coins; 1 for the Settebello (7 of Coins); 1 for Primiera (highest card per suit, values: 7=21, 6=18, 1=16, 5=15, 4=14, 3=13, 2=12, face cards=10); 1 per scopa. Ties score no point. Play to 11 points.
